  • Consulted for companies with market caps of one billion dollars or more with everything from risk assessment to accounting for mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

  • Held leadership roles in financial reporting, accounting, and forecasting.

  • Served private and public clients in biotechnology, consumer products, real estate, technology, asset management, aerospace, and hospitality.

  • Expert in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 internal controls, and operational processes.

Selected Experience

  • Analyzing and implementing complex technical accounting, including leasing, revenue recognition, stock based compensation, fair value, debt, contract accounting, business combinations, VIE, and consolidations.

  • Identifying, selecting, and implementing accounting systems, policies, and process controls.

  • Assisting clients with preparation and submission of SEC S-1 filings, quarterly and annual financial filings (10-Q and 10-K), and SOX 404 internal controls testing.

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly accounting close process, comparative financial statement analysis, reporting packages, and account reconciliations.

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with all required disclosures and footnotes.

  • Financial forecasting, analysis, and budgeting.

  • General ledger clean-up including reviewing GL data, identifying issues, and making corrections.

  • Vast experience with complicated, multi-entity legal structures, and related intercompany transactions and reporting.

  • Operation and management of partnership reporting and legal / tax compliance. 

  • Experience with Quickbooks, Yardi, and Oracle.

Education and Certifications

  • University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business - BA in Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting.
